Since we’ve been going steady you’ve met my Mom, you’ve met my in law’s and my husband. Now I’d like to introduce you to my youngest cousin Jennifer. Jennifer was born when I was 14 and that year was very significant, since it was also the year I met and started dating my husband. Ten years later Jennifer was our flower girl/junior bridesmaid at our wedding. Skip ahead to July 2, 2011 (wow how time flies) and there we were sitting at Jennifer’s wedding. I knew I wanted to do something special for her, so I had decided that I’d draw her wedding dress (before I saw it). Then as Jennifer walked down the isle, I saw the dress. I knew it would be beautiful but holy!
Pleats…
ruffles…
and lace, oh my! Ha, ha!
I’m pretty thrilled how it turned out especially the lace. I was able to deliver it to her the following August at at family reunion in Alberta and her and her new husband seemed pretty tickled with it!
I’ve since let my son’s know that when they get married (which won’t be for a while now) but when that day comes, I’d be more than happy to do a drawing of their bride’s dresses. However, if they could influence their brides toward simple A line dresses, that would be cool!

Hey – Lisa, this is the view of the dress we like and Laura likes the wooden hanger – can you make the back a bit longer?
