Yes…I was the very lucky person that nabbed your BEAUTIFUL note cards!! I am having some friends to my camp to quilt in April and my hope is to find some beautiful frames to frame the cards and give to them as a gift. Your work is wonderful, beautiful…words fail. You so deserve to be in this magazine. I am so happy I happened upon your blog via another blog (that I can’t remember at the moment). Enjoy the success! Live fearlessly! Continue to create the beautiful works of art that you do.

  3. It’s so fun to share in your excitement, Lysa! It’s exciting for me just to be in the same guild as someone who is in the Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine! I wonder what other magazines you will be in:)

And I would love to have a copy of the magazine so I’m going to tell you my middle name. It’s Ellen. And for a little bit of trivia, my husband and I decided to use our middle names for our business name, symbolic of us being a “ma & pa” shop. So, we are “Wesley Ellen Design & Millwork”.

It’s so exciting! I know the artist in this magazine!
Now I do wish I had a fascinating/fun/creative middle name to share. I don’t. It’s Lynn – but the best thing about that is that my granddaughter’s middle name is also Lynn.

  5. Note to self, get more notecards from your shop. I love them and and nearly out. I technically don’t have a midd name-just a really long first name :) So very exciting that you’re in the magazine! It’s a hard thing to describe all those feelings: happy, thrilled, scared, proud, humbled, excited, nervous. I’ve been in two now, and neither for crafting/hand arts/art :)

  6. Lysa! I am so excited for you!!!

And, ohmygosh, I am a freak about middle names! I have to be secretive about my ways of procuring them because people think I am so weird! But…it’s just something I must need know! Haha, how happy I am to find I am not alone:)

My middle name is Lynn. (My first name is Rebecca, and that is how I ended up as “CaLynn”, you see.)

P.S. I love paper piecing – you really must try it:D

What a start for your YoLF! And you shared the glory with lots of other contributors in your wonderful (and exciting) story. My middle name is Marie, as was my Mother’s and as is both my daughter’s and my grand-daughter’s. We are a family of either grand tradition or very little imagination.

  8. OK, you’re on the same page as Skinny laMinx AND Lisa Congdon??!! I rest my case – you are bloody awesome!! See, I told you, didn’t I?
That would also mean that for today I have to change my middle name from ‘Danger’ to ‘Jealous’.

Congratulations, Lysa! My middle name Marie is a version of my mother’s name, Mary, which I passed down to my oldest daughter. Now, my oldest granddaughter shares it as a middle name as well!

I love your pencil drawings!!! They are as exquisite as the fabrics! I rushed over to your etsy shop to see your notecards. There were no notecards, no drawings! Oh, no!!! Now my middle name is Nell which I don’t use, but if it helps me to win a copy of the magazine…Oh, well! Keep up your beautiful art!!!

Big congrats to you for being in print!! I love this mag but can’t ever find it. Boo.

Bonus points if you can pronounce this name properly: Aimée

Hint: does NOT sound like “Amy” and I won’t bore you with the tales of having incorrect ID and having to fight with every level of gov’t.

    But hooray to you!
